The fuel filter is placed between the fuel pump and the fuel inlet on your vehicle. I hope this helped and good luck.Ford Expedition (2003 model year) – Fuel Filter/Water Separator The fuel pump relay itself will be the second relay going from the left in that same "row" that I have been telling you about. That fuse is in the same row as the last one but is the first one after the realys going left to right. The fuses for the fuel pump relay is in the # 18 position. The # 10 position is in the 2nd row, you have 2 fuses then 2 relays and from the relays going left to right it will be the 5th one over from the relays. If you are looking in the box towards the bottom there are 2 rows off fuses and in between those rows are 2 relays. The fuel pump fuse is in your power distribution box located in the engine compartment. Your fuel pump cut off switch is located in the front passenger footwell by the kick panel access cover. I am going to assume that you are having fuel problems so I will give you 4 places to look for power supply problems to your fuel pump. Gonna do my best to try to explain what I think you are looking for. Then disconnect wires and stow away for another day Open sharader valve on top of filter for a few min Now any time you change a filter or open your fuel system for any reasonĪll you need do is connect pump to battery The wires of pump can be stretched over to #1 battery terminals

Insert pump observe flow arrrow towards filter Slide tube and clamps over pipe (both sides) Use tube cutter and cut fuel line just before it bends to go in filter Obtain a small low pressure electric fuel pump and a two short pieces of fuel line Now here's something I've done to my diesel to make this much less a hasstle Loosten the fuel supply line for #8 injector ( I did not say remove) 1 full turn ought to be enoughĭid it start but runs rough while it's still running tighten #8 injector (caution fuel under high pressure) There are two ways to remove this ( hard and harder) Now the fun part your diesel now has air in the fuel system Use light grease or vasolene on tube connections don't try to tighten dry Use locktite (blue)or simmiliar thread lock on bolts retighten firmly but not hang up the dog tight Silicone back (or use gasket that comes with pump ) of pumpĪpply pump to block (depending on where crank stopped you may have some tension on arm you will have to overcome to get flange to meet block ) With a 12 mm wrench undo the two side bolts holding the pump to blockĬlean mounting place on block with solvent let dry Using a tube wrench unscrew the fuel lines (i use large wire nuts to temp block off fuel leakage) Now help me out here: thats the year they were bolted to the pass side front of engineĪnd not inside the tank right? (better go look to see for sure) Simple : obtain replacement pump from parts provider (no used stuff) SOURCE: replace fuel pump on 03 Ford F350 diesel
